Esports

Esoccer and Ebasketball are short video game matches bet365 lists next to the real games. The API keeps them where bet365 puts them.

Where they are listed

Esoccer leagues, such as Esoccer Battle - 8 mins play, belong to Soccer (sport_id=1). Ebasketball leagues belong to Basketball (sport_id=18). They come back from the same event, league and odds endpoints as the real leagues, with the same fields and market keys.

Matches last a few minutes, so the timer, scores and odds move much faster than in a real game. Poll them accordingly.

Pairings are teams

Each side of an Esoccer or Ebasketball match is a team: the club being played and the player controlling it, such as Liverpool (Marlin) Esports. The same player with another club is a different team.

is_esports is 1 on these teams and 0 on real clubs.
They have no squad: has_squad is 0, and there are no lineups or player profiles.
Filter upcoming and ended events of a pairing with team_id, like any other team.

Leaving them out

Pass skip_esports=1 to leave Esoccer, Ebasketball and other video game events out of the result. These endpoints take it:

/v3/events/inplay has no skip_esports. To list live events without esports, use Bet365 InPlay Filter with skip_esports=1, or leave out events whose teams have is_esports=1.

Esports, sport 151

Competitive gaming titles such as Counter-Strike, League of Legends and Dota 2 are a sport of their own, sport_id=151. Their teams are the real esports organisations. Esoccer and Ebasketball are not part of it.
